Ambassador have changed our cruise, changed the ship, downgraded our cabins, now a poor itinerary. But we haven’t been on it yet, so impossible to review a holiday BEFORE I have taken it.
Cancelled 1 night due to an issue with Ambience. Website doesn't include new booking details when logged in, but the app does. Have to fill out passport details again.
Writing this before actually sailing due to the Christmas cruise to the Caribbean being cancelled 4 days before we were due to sail. We were offered options and chose to go on the Brazil cruise on 18th January. However this will not make up for the huge disappointment of not being away for Christmas. Not as if this isn’t the first time they have cancelled a Christmas cruise.! We had been upgraded to a superior cabin but have been downgraded to a standard + on a lower deck so overall not very happy. We will be looking for them to excell on the Brazil cruise. Watch this space!!

Easy to use website. Only problem was, the reply went to "junk".
This review was sought before the cruise took place so it is written on the basis of the booking procedures, the ease of use of the app or web site and the telephone response. The first problem was that although one of our party of 5 had a passport perfectly valid for a cruise to Europe for Christmas markets, the online technology did not accept a residual period of under 6 months. That meant that none of our party could register our passports in advance. In order to satisfy ourselves that there would be no problem at embarkation, I had to phone guest services, only to be placed at number 40 in a queue. The next problem came when the cruise was change from 5 to 4 days. There was no problem with the invoice, with the financial adjustments being handled well. However, the change in date of embarkation meant that one of our party needed to spend time to cancel pre-booked trains and drive to Tilbury instead. We found it impossible to add an extra car parking request via the website and ended up having to ring again. This time I was 34th in a queue and it was an hour before I was answered. I have to say that the issue was dealt with efficiently but it took a lot of time. This was disappointing after the news that with 3 days notice, the cruise had changed significantly.
Everything was everything I expected, as it should be.

Loved departing from Liverpool! The facillities on board were great, entertainment was awsome,, crew and staff were approachable and superfriendly, very efficient, everyone worked as a team. Food was deliicios with lots of choices. The Faroes were beautiful despite the whale hunt. Iceland was amazing! Would have liked 2 days at Reykjavic, lots to see. I loved my first cruise with Ambassador, everything was straightforward and easy and the ship was squeaky clean!
Beautiful comfortable ship. Lovely food. Friendly, helpful and professional crew. Orca experience on board enhanced the voyage.Friendly cabin staff could not do enough for us.Will be back!

Ship is old and tired with slight modifications However the food, staff and service was brilliant! Fantastic sailing from Liverpool and will book again if the dates fit Just waiting for the tax to be returned from a purchase in Iceland Trip 7-18th July
Really great experience definitely would recommend it.
I didn't see as much of Iceland as I would have liked ,I didnt feel the shore trips offered by Ambassador were suitable for someone with my mobility. The ship itself was great ,the crew were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed every minute on board, the evening entertainment was especially good. I only ate in Borough Market, the food was ok but I especially enjoyed being able to sit outside for my meal. The drinks package was very good, the cocktails were very tempting! I am definitely going with Ambassador again so please keep sailing from Liverpool
Enjoyed the experience on how Icelanders live work and relax. There hot springs were so relaxing, well worth the visit.
More than pleased didn’t know what to expect but was pleasantly impressed from getting on ship to getting off highly recommended
The ship, the cabin, the crew, the entertainment, and the food, were all excellent. It was just the weather that wasn't great! I'm hoping to book another solo cruise on board Ambassador Ambition 11th December 2023!

Excellent cruise. Delicious food, friendly and helpful staff, The entertainment was even better than the theatre’s at home. The staff organised the tables so the you mixed with different people each mealtime. This way you got to know lots of the other passengers. Would highly recommend this company.
the embarkation at Dundee was so easy and convenient for us as we come from Dundee. All the crew were very efficient and polite as were our cabin steward Tom , Waiter PJ and wine waiter Edward. Our cabin was comfortable and the food and choices in the restaurants and buffet was to a very good standard. The excursions were very good and varied and some of the villages were breath taking. We were not aware that there were free shuttle buses in each port which were just as good as some of the excursions. All in all it was an excellent cruise and although there were a few hick-ups on the Maiden voyage these were resolved quickly and we would definitely cruise with Ambition again from Dundee next year
Great cruise. We were very pleased with every aspect of the cruise. Staff and food were very good. The entertainment shows were excellent, very talented team and good variety of shows.
Destination, ports were excellent and reason we chose this cruise. Sadly cruise company did not meet our expectations.

I can’t even award them 1 star. What has happened here is unbelievable!! I think they should give their customers more notice that their cruise has been cancelled it’s not ok to do this just 3 days before they are due to go and not to think that it’s ok to change customers to another ship, reduce the days they are going for, change the places they are visiting and change the accommodation and think that it’s acceptable to inform their customers in an email. We are so upset by this it’s absolutely disgusting tocactclikexthis is the norm. It may be for ambassador but it isn’t for customers!!

They provide excellent service to customers with courtesy and efficient results. We have moved, after 64 cruises with Fred Olsen, to Ambassador . So far enjoyed 3 brilliant cruises and soon embarking on 2 more. We will not go to any other cruiseline as none come near their 99%
I have had to change cruises a couple of times and they have been very accomodating. Staff are friendly. I book through an agent but their web site is very easy to use and kerps you up to date.
I'm,sorry but you could have given us more notice, we have packed and seen our family and friends. With 3 days to go. I am disappointed but as you would say get on with it. What a let down, I'm sure with all your friends in the shipping industry you could have filled there ships or tried. We were so looking forward to Christmas cruise away. I needed to change my booking, and this was carried out in a very efficient manner. I received an amended invoice in minutes.

Once I was able to contact the cruise line by phone everything, bookings etc. was handled promptly and efficiently. As I am a Canadian customer my credit card was unable to complete the bookings on line. Your system would not accept it.
The advisor on the 2nd call was outstanding. They were far more knowledgeable and helpful regarding discounts etc
